Our whole competitive team competed at the last local SCS comp this weekend at Solid Rock in Poway. The comp went really well and our team enjoyed experiencing a new gym.
The format was “Onsite”, so each category had only 4 climbs in it, and climbers had just one chance to try the climb. If they fell, their turn was up. They also only had 4 minutes to try the route and 4 minutes of rest in between each of the 4 routes.
This is the same format that will be taking place at the SCS Regional Competition, which will be held at our very own Mesa Rim! This comp was great practice for Regionals.
